About

24ct gold natural art

A young woman with short, styled hair, dark makeup, and multiple layered necklaces, wearing a patterned dress, taking a selfie against a plain background.

Born 1992 in Norfolk, Selina works from a studio in the Norfolk countryside. Her internationally exhibited artwork combines her scientific background and artistic creativity. With heavy influences from the natural world around her home and studio, Selina blends her passion for nature and conservation with gilding in 24ct gold leaf to create bespoke artwork, murals and curated interiors.

Each piece is created individually, undergoing several stages from concept, preservation, strengthening, preparation and gilding to final burnishing and finishing work before being presented.

Her artwork uses pure precious metals and real preserved insects, with a technique she has originated through years of experimentation. She is the only artist in the world to possess her secrets to the burnished gilding of invertebrates.
