A very large forest scorpion (Heterometrus spinifer) gilded in fine 22ct rose gold leaf from Italy. The scorpion was cleaned, preserved and set before being hand gilded in layers of highest grade fine rose gold, then burnished to a reflective shine. The gold reflects different tones throughout the day as the temperature of the sunlight changes.
Frame measures approx. 20x20cm with wall hanging hardware on the back. Glass removed for photography to avoid glare, all frames ship with the glass.
