Antique 19th Century glass globe hosting a male and female pair of highly sought-after sacred scarab beetles, hand crafted naturalistic display and 24ct gold faux dung ball.

The ball is modelled by hand from kiln-dried sand and soil, dried grasses and stones to mimic the texture of a real one. Sealed and hand-gilded in two layers of fine 24ct gold leaf. The habitat setting is crafted with dried sands and grasses, set in an antique display with carved wooden base and a blown glass globe. In total the display measures approx. 14cm high.
