A very large forest scorpion (Heterometrus spinifer) gilded in fine 24ct gold leaf. The scorpion was cleaned, preserved and set before being hand gilded in layers of high-grade pure gold, then burnished to a reflective shine. The gold reflects different tones throughout the day as the temperature of the sunlight changes.
Frame dimensions 23x23cm (9x9”) with wall hanging hardware on the back. Glass removed for photography to avoid glare, all frames ship with the glass. Perfect for collectors or as a unique decorative accent for any home or office.
