The enormous Empress cicada with wings gilded layers of pure high-grade copper leaf. The gilded finish is on the underside of the wings, leaving the details of the wing structure present and visible. Sealed against tarnishing and framed in a minimalist contemporary style shadowbox frame.
Frame dimensions 23x23cm (9”x9”).
The frame has wall hanging hardware on the back. Glass removed for photography to avoid glare, all frames ship with the glass.
