An extremely large pair of giant flower beetles (Mecynorrhina torquata immaculicollis), female top and male bottom. They are on a lightly textured backing gilded by hand in pure copper leaf. Pictures have been taken in a range of lighting throughout the day, to showcase the changing nature of the reflective qualities.

The glass in the frames is removed for photography to avoid glare. All pieces ship with glass. Frame measures 31cm x 22cm and is 6cm deep. It has both wall hanging and free-standing hardware on the back.
