Edwardian Gentleman Antique Photography From Colchester Essex Studio

A photograph portrait of an unknown Edwardian gentleman, taken by Oscar Way (circa 1905) at Royal Studio, 11 Hight Street, Colchester, Essex. Original mount with gilded stamp in the front and frame with muted gold scroll detail. Heavy chipping to the edges of the frame, original backing and glass still in place with a small ring for wall mounting.

This is a really lovely piece of local history, and a wonderful coincidence to be from a studio that was once a few doors down from the Minories Gallery where I now hold art fairs.
