An unusual piece, this wall hanging plaque has a brass coat hook set onto velvet.
Good vintage condition. The velvet and backing fabric are intact. The brass hanger has one crack to the front scrollwork, but after testing functions fine so this appears to be superficial only. I tested this with a long silk dressing gown and hat, which it held fine, but it would not be suited to holding heavy coats or bags. Please test weight load carefully, this is a vintage decorative item firstly - practical use seems possible but please do so with care.
This piece was hand sourced by me in September during a four day sourcing trip around northern Milan, and imported as a selected collection (aka the tiny amount of items I was able to fit into my hand luggage).
