The top lid lifts entirely away to reveal a tiny hiding place, perfect for a single ring, a secret note, or daily pills. The exterior showcases highly tactile, hand-chased textures. The brass carries a beautiful time-worn patina, with rich, darkened recesses. A lovely addition to a specimen display case, curio cabinet, or gothic vanity setup.
Excellent vintage condition. The two pieces nest together neatly, and the brass retains a warm, authentic antique finish with wonderful dark aging in the details.
These pieces were hand sourced by me in September during a four day sourcing trip around northern Milan, and imported as a selected collection (aka the tiny amount of items I was able to fit into my hand luggage). I chose pieces based on what I love and would style in my own home. I began sourcing vintage professionally earlier this year, but I began collecting in my early 20’s. Living in an old house in the Norfolk countryside has led me to countless antique shops, vintage markets and museum gift shops (my secret for replica artefacts and the highest quality painting replicas of Old Masters).
