A wonderful box in excellent condition, with silver plated top. The velvet is in good condition inside and out. This would make a lovely ring box for precious jewellery.
This piece features a plush, dark blue velvet circular base paired with a heavily detailed, silver-plated repoussé lid. The lid is beautifully embossed with intricate Renaissance-style scrollwork and a polished central oval cartouche which could be engraved with initials.
Excellent vintage condition with a gentle, authentic metal patina on the lid. Velvet is clean and intact.
These pieces were hand sourced by me in September during a four day sourcing trip around northern Milan, and imported as a selected collection (aka the tiny amount of items I was able to fit into my hand luggage). I chose pieces based on what I love and would style in my own home. I began sourcing vintage professionally earlier this year, but I began collecting in my early 20’s.
