Frame dimensions 19×19cm (7.5”x7.5”). Wall hanging, glass removed for photos to avoid glare, all frames ship with glass. Frame is made from bevelled wood and painted in matte black paint.
A real butterfly, the beautiful One Spot Preponia (Archaeoprepona demophon). Preserved and pinned in a display position in a shadow box frame on soft black mount. Only one available, this butterfly was home raised and cared for until passing of old age.
This is a truly gorgeous species, the wings have an aquamarine colouration which shifts in the light through turquoise and sea green. Showing slight difference in the hind wing shape / size as a result of emerging very slowly and failing to entirely inflate it’s wings. It did however fly and manage entirely fine once finally done.
