A complete starter kit for dissecting and cleaning the finds from an owl pellet. Includes colour instructions, an owl pellet and all equipment needed.
Owls cannot digest the bones and fur from the small mammals they hunt and eat. Instead they spit out pellets below their roost areas. These pellets can be dissected to discover the tiny bones and skulls contained inside.
I collect these pellets sustainably from two sites near my village in the Norfolk countryside.
